As an enrichment and destination lecturer I have the good fortune of appearing as a guest speaker on cruise ships throughout the world. My wife Jan and I have cruised the seas and visited ports in over 89 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Central and South America, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, UK and a good number of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ports.
I have over 40 years of international experience in government organizations, academia, and the private sector. I have an MA Hons (Griffith University, Queensland), with my academic research focused on the role of collaborative governance in developing innovative policy solutions for intractable resource conflicts. I have a BSc in biology (UBC, Vancouver) and my professional experience includes Naturalist and Wilderness Specialist with Canada’s National Parks, Registered Professional Biologist in British Columbia, and Senior Policy Consultant.

Close encounters with grizzly bears, active volcanoes, Komodo dragons, and trumpeting elephants continue to add spice to our lives! I live in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with my wife and fellow adventurer, Jan.  |
