French Polynesia Jan 2012

Onboard the Rotterdam, we cruised from Hawaii to Rarotonga and French Polynesia.  My lectures included some of the latest research on Coral Reefs, formation of atolls, how certain reefs in Moorea are rebounding from an invasion of crown-of-thorns starfish and coral bleaching (based on a healthy population of herbivorous fish to keep the algae from smothering the surviving coral).
